Saudi Consulate Dubai: Address, Timings and Document Attestation

The Saudi Consulate Dubai office is at 8 Al Seef Street in Al Hamriya, Bur Dubai, and it is the authority that attests documents issued in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. A single document can be submitted in person, Monday to Thursday between 10:00 and 11:00 am, without an appointment; anything beyond one document goes through an approved office. In both cases, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs must attest the document first.

Documents issued in Abu Dhabi go to a different mission, which we explain further down.

Saudi Consulate Dubai Address

The consulate stands at 8 Al Seef Street, Al Hamriya (Umm Hurair 1), Bur Dubai. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes its coordinates on the consulate’s official page: 25.257718, 55.310006. The simplest way to get there is to enter these coordinates in Google Maps.

Before you go, bear in mind that the walk-in window for a single document lasts just one hour a day, and that any document missing UAE MOFA attestation is turned away. If attestation is the reason for your visit, one call can spare you the whole trip.

How to Attest Your Document at the Saudi Consulate in Dubai

This section covers UAE documents that will be used in Saudi Arabia, such as educational certificates, marriage contracts, powers of attorney and commercial documents. Each document passes through three stages, in order:

  1. Issuing authority attestation: the notary public for powers of attorney, for instance, or the educational institution for certificates.
  2. UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation: the consulate will not accept a document without it. Full details are on our MOFA attestation in Dubai page.
  3. Saudi Consulate Dubai attestation: the practical steps and processing details are on our Saudi embassy attestation in Dubai page.

With a single document, you can submit it yourself

Three conditions apply:

  1. Pay the attestation fee online on the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs website; the steps are in our guide to Saudi embassy fees UAE.
  2. Print the payment receipt. Paying without a printed receipt is a common reason for rejection.
  3. Attend between 10:00 and 11:00 am, carrying the applicant’s passport or Emirates ID.

If your file holds more than one document, or the time window does not suit you, submission goes through an approved office. Insta Attestation Services is an approved office at both the consulate and the embassy.

Because the UAE is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, an apostille has no role on this route. The difference between the two paths is explained in our article on apostille attestation.

What we need from you: the original document, a copy of the applicant’s passport or Emirates ID, and the name of the Saudi entity that will receive it. No translation is required.

The most common reasons for rejection:

  • A document issued in Abu Dhabi, which falls under the embassy.
  • A document issued outside the UAE.
  • Submitting the document without UAE MOFA attestation.
  • A missing passport or ID copy, or paying the fee without printing the receipt.

Saudi Consulate in Dubai or Saudi Embassy in Abu Dhabi?

Saudi Arabia has two missions in the UAE, and which one you need depends on the emirate that issued your document, not the emirate where you live. Abu Dhabi documents, including those from Al Ain and Al Dhafra, are attested by the Saudi embassy Abu Dhabi, while documents from Dubai and the Northern Emirates are attested by the consulate in Dubai. If your file combines documents from more than one emirate, it is split between the two missions; the rule and worked examples are in our guide to the Saudi embassy UAE.
